LEGAL COSTS CLAIMED FROM THE OTHER SPOUSE OR CIVIL PARTNER

Parties to a marriage or civil partnership can obtain an Order for a one-off payment, or instalments from the other spouse or civil partner to cover their legal costs.

Now that Legal Aid has been pretty well withdrawn, this becomes a useful tool, apart from interim maintenance pending the final hearing.

Rubin v Rubin [2014] EWHC 611 (Fam) is helpful.

If you need help to get legal costs from the other party to a marriage or civil partnership look no further.
